From 14 to 22 October 2023, Florence lights up with talent with the XIV edition of its renowned Biennale, which unfolds between the Spadolini and Cavaniglia Pavilions in the historic Fortezza da Basso. This masterful event, supported by major national and international institutions, is made possible thanks to the collaboration of many sponsors and allies.

Immerse yourself in a panorama of creativity during the Florence Biennale: innovative workshops, fascinating performances, inspired conversations and prestigious guests. It serves as a crossroads for global creatives, proposing an intense dialogue on the theme “I AM YOU – Individual and Collective Identities in Contemporary Art and Design”.

Renewing tradition, the International Open Call Competition makes its return, in collaboration with Art Market Magazine and Lens Magazine. The target? Discover emblematic images that reflect the essence of the XIV Florence Biennale.

Artists exhibit works in a myriad of categories, aspiring to prestigious awards: the “Lorenzo il Magnifico” Prize for Art and the “Leonardo da Vinci” Prize for Design. An International Jury will evaluate during the exhibition, culminating in the awards ceremony on 22 October 2023.

Another highlight of the Biennale features two giants of the world art scene as protagonists: the American photographer David LaChapelle and the eclectic Spanish talent Santiago Calatrava. Both will receive awards for their extraordinary careers, enriching the event with their reflections and works.
